Backyard Broadway

Our kids participated in a Backyard Broadway Musical this last weekend. With about 25 of their friends, and the help of several parents, these kids performed 8 or 9 popular show tunes.... It was a blast!!!!!

Departure Time Ahead!!!!

OK. We are now getting down to the last items on the list..... Our friends, the C family, will be staying in our home while we are away. This is a mutual blessing, since they recently sold their home and needed a place to stay for a while. And, they can keep an eye on our little rascal, Rocky! We just purchased our "tow vehicle" and that will be our cruiser while on our journey. A friend will help with the administration of some of Eric's business needs while he is off-site. There are many little things left to do, but we are making progress every day. We have mapped out - roughly - our route and itinerary, and have nailed down some of the campsites we will visit. The kids are very excited about the adventure, and are working hard on their studies to have a jump start on the school year..... More to follow.....

We are slowly but surely getting ready for our trip. There are so many things to consider when leaving for such a long time. Schooling the kids, keeping current with what is happening with Eric's work, making sure we have prepared our home for a the trip, etc. But it is fun and exciting too. We have been planning the itinerary, putting together a budget, and calling our friends and family that we plan on visiting on this expedition..... We will keep you updated!

We are chipping away at the list that needs to be completed before we venture off on our trip. The kids are trying to get a head start on their school studies for next year, and we are focusing on American History movies and books to prepare us for our adventure.....

So, after months of discussion and prayer, we have decided to leave the comfort of our home and hit the road for three months - Departure Date - August 1, 2010!!! We recently purchased a used motorhome, and it will serve as our home for the three months we hit the road! We are very excited, but have much to do before taking off...... More to follow....
